MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DESIGNER / EXPERIENCED DRAUGHTSMAN – Durban
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Mechanical Engineering Designer with strong draughting expertise to join our innovative design team.

Responsibilities Include:
- Geometric Modelling using 2D & 3D Cad design software.
- Production pack compilation.
- Manage and maintain the Bill of Material for various builds.
- Project management
- Product design and development.
- Manage spreadsheet models.
Key Attributes:
Our ideal candidate will have –
- 5 years’ experience, with Solid Works or similar CAD Package.
- Knowledge of Commercial vehicles and Trailer design would be an advantage.
- Failure analysis (FEA) knowledge would be an advantage.
- HTM Weight Distribution modelling expertise
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge.
- Suitable Mechanical Engineering qualification

Duties & Responsibilities: –
Outlined below is a Summarized List of the Duties in this Position: –
- Monitor Stock Levels on the factory floor and warehouse.
- Maintaining the Bin Card recording materials issued and received.
- Receiving Stock / Verifying all relevant stores documentation.
- Processing Requisitions, Delivery Notes and Purchase Orders.
- Ensure Flammable Items are stored appropriately.
- Ensure Strict Access Control of the Stores Department.
- Housekeeping
Experience/Competencies required:
- Matric with Mathematics Essential
- 3 Years’ Work-Related Experience
- A Valid Driver’s License
- Strong Computer Literacy Skills Essential.
- Attention to Detail and Data Accuracy.
- Strong Communication Skills
- Very Strong Organizational Skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a very fast paced work environment.

- Preparation of weight distributions using Transolve software
- Preparation of Job sheets & specification sheets for new orders
- Handling of communication & progress reports for new orders
- Professional handover of new vehicles
- Provide solutions & technical support to customers
- Handling & resolving of customer complaints
- Plan and conduct visits to outlying areas from time to time
- Prepare a weekly call plan of activities planned to maximize sales effectiveness
- Prepare status reports including sales calls & progress reports on activities
